The Role
We’re expanding our operations team and looking for someone confident, organised and able to work within a fast paced department.
The Operations Assistant will work closely with the operations team, supporting the Planning & Operations Coordinator in planning & scheduling of all operative site-based work activities, jobs & projects along with the organisation of safe working procedures for all operatives. The Operations Assistant will play an important part in communicating essential business information clearly and effectively, supporting across all levels of the organisation and contributing to a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the planning and coordination of engineer schedules for fixed wire testing and associated remedial works.
Work with the Senior Management team in ensuring efficient Disclosure and Barring Service administration throughout the company.
Help to support the Operations Department in keeping risk assessments current and updated, providing advice and support as necessary in accordance with best practice guidelines to ensure legal and other requirements are met.
Help resolve operational queries or escalations by coordinating with engineers, planners, and clients.
Responsible for preparing and maintaining KPI forecasts ensuring data is accurate, up to date, and available for operational reporting.
Produce and distribute the fortnightly Work Programmes to inspectors, ensuring clarity of expectations and alignment with operational priorities.
Issue weekly work allocations to inspectors, including the provision of all required RAMS and any relevant site induction documents to ensure safe and compliant working practices.
Manage and process clearance requirements for designated sites, ensuring all operatives have the necessary authorisations before attending.
The main point of contact for the TravelPerks system, overseeing accommodation bookings for site engineers and operations office staff
What We’re Looking For
Experience in an administrative or operational support role, ideally within the electrical, compliance, or facilities management sector.
Familiarity with electrical compliance services (e.g. Fixed Wire Testing, EICR) is advantageous but not essential.
A team player with a positive, customer-focused attitude
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail
